Rainforest Bound: Libertyville Vacation Bible School Goes "Wild" in July at UMCL

This July, families don't have to travel far for an unforgettable adventure — the United Methodist Church of Libertyville (UMCL) is bringing the rainforest right here to our community!

We're happy to announce Rainforest Falls VBS, running from Monday, July 13 to Thursday, July 16, 2026. Think chattering birds, howling monkeys, and a lush jungle canopy — all setting the stage for a week your children won't forget.

Kids ages 3 through 5th grade will dive into Bible stories, explore hands-on activities, compete in team games, sing and dance, and unleash their creativity through crafts, all while discovering that God is their creator and a steady anchor through life's storms.

"We are so excited to bring the magic of the rainforest to our community," says Annemarie Barry, Director of Spiritual Growth at UMCL. "This program is designed to meet children exactly where they are — helping them build friendships, explore nature, and grow in faith in a fun, safe, and welcoming space."

Here's what you need to know:

·Dates: Monday, July 13 – Thursday, July 16

·Time: 9:00 a.m. – noon (Dropoff begins at 8:45 a.m.)

·Location: United Methodist Church of Libertyville,
429 Brainerd Ave, Libertyville, IL 60048

·Who: Kids ages 3* through 5^th grade
*Children must be fully potty-trained.

·Cost: $35 per child by June 15; $45 June 16 – July 4. Registration closes on July 4.

Participants, their families, and caregivers are also invited to a VBS Celebration in worship on Sunday, July 19, at 9:30 a.m.
