Hidden Gems Garden Walk Blooms Again in Libertyville

Garden lovers, nature enthusiasts, and anyone who enjoys a beautiful afternoon outdoors are invited to the 14th Annual Hidden Gems Garden Walk, sponsored by the Town & Country Garden Club of Libertyville, on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This self-guided tour will feature five exceptional local gardens, each offering a distinct approach to design, sustainability, and creativity. Together, they showcase how gardens of all sizes can be both inspiring and environmentally thoughtful.

Highlights of this year’s walk include:

• A native plant garden inspired by Dr. Doug Tallamy’s Homegrown National Park initiative, demonstrating how homeowners can support birds and pollinators right in their own yards
• Beautifully designed gardens on both small and large residential lots
• Art integrated into the landscape, blending sculpture and plantings
• Innovative water features
• A terraced slope leading to a pergola, offering the highest garden views in Lake County

Adding to the experience, representatives from Wild Ones, an organization dedicated to educating and supporting the use of native plants will be present to share information, resources, and guidance for gardeners interested in environmentally responsible practices.

Several garden stops will also host nature-inspired vendors, featuring original jewelry, paintings, and sculptures—making the walk as much an art experience as a horticultural one.

Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 on the day of the event, with a cap of 500 patrons, so early purchase is encouraged. Tickets are available:
