The centerpiece of Camp Timber Trail will be Sky Hawk, billed as the Midwest's tallest, longest and fastest suspended family roller coaster. The new area will feature nine attractions and experiences, including:

According to the park, Camp Timber Trail is designed to encourage families to explore together through a mix of rides, imaginative play, themed dining, shopping and storytelling inspired by the outdoors. The project also marks the beginning of broader improvements planned over the next several years, including upgrades to landscaping, walkways, guest amenities and other areas throughout the park.

"Since opening in 1976, Yukon Territory has been home to some of the park's most cherished memories," park President John Krajnak said in a news release. "With Camp Timber Trail, we're making a significant investment in family experiences while preserving the playful spirit that has defined this area for decades."

Camp Timber Trail is expected to open during the 2027 season at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee.
