GURNEE, IL — A Tennessee man was arrested after prosecutors said he battered his wife multiple times at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee despite hundreds of people being nearby.
Timothy Baldridge Jr., 44, was arrested Aug. 8 and charged with domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor, according to Lake & McHenry Scanner. Prosecutors said Baldridge grabbed his wife's hand, pulled a towel around her neck, grabbed her upper body and threw her fanny pack at her, with some incidents captured on surveillance video and witnessed by park employees and visitors.
Prosecutors said Baldridge, who has previous convictions for robbery and firearm possession, initially denied anything physical happened but later acknowledged the couple had been arguing, Lake & McHenry County Scanner is reporting.
A judge denied prosecutors' request to detain Baldridge, instead placing him on supervised pretrial release and ordering him to have no contact with the woman or her residence and not possess dangerous weapons, according to the article.
