LIBERTYVILLE, IL – Libertyville residents are going to be sad to see one local business go when it closes at the end of this month. Bagels by the Book, 870 S. Gurnee resident Danielle Little has run the "unobtrusive shop" for the past 18 years and kept the shop located in a strip mall off Milwaukee Avenue up and running even after a Panera Bread opened a few doors down, according to the Daily Herald. The breakfast hot spot serves bagels and sides that are made in house, including cream cheese, and is well known for its made-to-order breakfast sandwiches.

In May, the little 14-table shop sold 6,869 breakfast sandwiches as well as 9,374 bagels, the Daily Herald reports.

Little said a disagreement between her and the landlord of the location is what led to her decision to not renew her lease and to close. She does not have any immediate plans to reopen elsewhere, according to the article.
