Beer Garden At Independence Grove Will Soon Reopen For The Season

Sip local craft beers and enjoy lakeside views as the beer garden at Independence Grove kicks off its seasonal opening.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — The beloved beer garden at Independence Grove is soon reopening for the season.

Located at Independence Grove, located on Buckley Road east of Milwaukee Avenue in Libertyville, the seasonal beer garden returns Friday, May 1, with an early Cinco de Mayo celebration and live mariachi music from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

The outdoor beer garden serves a rotating selection of Lake County craft brews on tap, along with wines, hard ciders, non‑alcoholic drinks, packaged snacks and light meals, which can be delivered straight to your table.

Hours of Operation for May 1 through May 25 are:
• Friday–Sunday: 1 to 9 p.m.
• Memorial Day (May 25): 1 to 9 p.m.
Starting on May 27:
• Tuesday–Thursday: 5 to 9 p.m.
• Friday–Sunday & holidays: 1 to 9 p.m.

Pets — including dogs and horses — are not permitted within the preserve or beer garden facilities, though qualified service animals are welcome.

Independence Grove Forest Preserve has 7.5 miles of walking trails, picnic areas and fire pits. Admission to the preserve is free for Lake County residents with proper ID.

Non‑residents are charged a small parking fee, and vehicle stickers are available that allow frequent visitors to bypass residency checks.
