Blaze Damages Fenced Enclosure At Charles Brown Park

Officials in Libertyville are looking to replace the fenced enclosure this fall.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A blaze destroyed a fenced enclosure at Charles Brown Park.

The fire happened on July 30 and has been ruled accidental, Kelly Amidei, village administrator, told Patch in an email response. The cause of the fire has not been determined.

The blaze destroyed a portable toilet inside the enclosure and the fenced enclosure, Amidei said. The fire also scorched the shrubs surrounding the area.

The enclosure will cost $10,520 to replace, and village officials are hoping to have a new fenced enclosure up at Charles Brown Park at some point this fall.
