Boil Order Lifted For Libertyville Neighborhood
A water main break lead to a loss of water pressure and no water for residents North Libertyville Estates neighborhood starting on Tuesday
LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A boil order has been lifted for a Libertyville neighborhood. A water main break on Tuesday to the primary line to the North Libertyville Estates neighborhood led to reduced water pressure as well as no water for some residents living in that area and also led officials to issue the boil order, according to a news release from Lake County Public Works.
On Thursday morning, that boil order was lifted after bacteriological samples collected to verify the quality of the drinking water supply were confirmed to be free of coliform bacteria, according to a news release.
Residents in the neighborhood can return to normal use of their water service, public works officials said. Those with any questions or concerns can call Lake County Public Works at 847-377-7500 or send an email to publicworks@lakecountyil.gov.
