Do You Run?
The goal of the workshop is to help you plan for the upcoming weather change and increased activity running outside.
BeWell Fitness is hosting a second workshop this month called Ready to Run? The goal of the workshop is to help you plan for the upcoming weather change and increased activity running outside. Time and time again I run into, pun intended, runners who think running slow the first mile is a warm-up. I am here to tell you that is called running not warming up. If you are not stretching before and doing the proper strength and CORE training the odds of you getting through a running season without ailments or injury significantly increases. There are relatively 1,200 steps per mile, depending on your gate! Now each step that you take has a 2-3x bodyweight compression on your joints. You do the math and you will find the amazing amount of compression you need to withstand to run long distances, which is where strength and core training come in.
Join us THIS Saturday April 20th at 930am for the workshop.
Members will be $10 and non-members $15, but if you bring a friend you are both $10.
