Butterfield Road To Close At Railroad Crossing For Repairs

You may want to find a different route during the repairs, which will run from Aug. 1 to 5.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A portion of Butterfield Road will close starting on Aug. 1 for railroad crossing repairs.

The Canadian National Railroad will close its railroad crossing on Butterfield Road, north of Route 60, for repairs beginning at 9 a.m. on Aug. 1 and ending late in the afternoon on Aug. 5.

A detour will run from Illinois Route 60 to Route 45 to Route 176. Local traffic will be allowed from Illinois Route 60 to the railroad crossing and from IL Route 176 to the railroad crossing, but the railroad crossing will be closed to all traffic.
