Symphony847 presents Paintings Composed, a one-of-a-kind orchestral experience where music meets visual art.
Journey through three evocative works:
- Rachmaninoff – Isle of the Dead: Inspired by Arnold Böcklin’s haunting painting, this symphonic poem evokes dark waters, mystery, and emotional climaxes in a 20-minute orchestral voyage.
- Stella Sung – Rockwell Reflections: Five musical movements inspired by Norman Rockwell’s iconic illustrations, each telling a distinct story, from nostalgic Americana to moments of historical reflection.
- Mussorgsky / Ravel – Pictures at an Exhibition: A gallery of musical portraits, vividly orchestrated, bringing Victor Hartmann’s drawings to life with color, texture, and drama.
