Car Found Stuck On Metra Tracks; DUI Charge Filed: Police
A 29-year-old Buffalo Grove woman, the driver of the car, was arrested and cited following the April 8 incident.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A 29-year-old Buffalo Grove woman faces drunken driving charges after she got her car stuck on the Metra train tracks in Libertyville, authorities said.
Police officers with the Libertyville Police Department responded to the train tracks on Milwaukee Avenue near Appley Avenue at about 9:02 p.m. on April 8 where they found the vehicle stopped on the tracks and not able to move, according to a police report from the police department.
Police say the vehicle was stuck between the platform and the train tracks near the Metra train station just west of Milwaukee Avenue.

Metra was alerted and stopped all trains through the area until the vehicle could be removed.
Police say they spoke with the driver, who was identified as Armory Rodriguez-Rivera, 29. The woman showed multiple signs of impairment, according to police, and was asked to perform a series of field sobriety tests.

Based on the results from those tests, Rodriguez-Rivera, of the 1300 block of Johnson Drive, was taken into custody and transported to the Libertyville Police Department where she was processed and cited for driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage, according to the police report. She was released after posting her driver's license as bond and signing a $1,000 personal recognizance bond.
Rodriguez-Rivera is next expected in court on May 6.
