College students give back to Gages Lake early childhood education center
Lake Forest College football players volunteered to read and play with students from the Champions Early Learning program in Gages Lake.

Lake Forest College football players volunteered at the Champions Early Learning Center in Gages Lake, Illinois, recently, reading and playing with students. Champions is a leading out-of-school time provider of extended learning and education programs for school-age children. Champions programs are offered at more than 450 sites in 17 states. The Gages Lake center is a unique Champions site that caters to young children.
The Lake Forest College football team’s coach is a parent at the center. When his players needed to earn some community service hours he knew just the place for them to volunteer their time. According to Champions Area Manager Brighid Molway, “We know the kids will be talking about this for weeks to come!”
