Construction To Start Soon On New Ice Rink In Libertyville
The rink, which is meant to replace a former outdoor rink at Bolander Park, will be located at the Libertyville Sports Complex.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL -- Construction is expected to start soon on a new outdoor hockey rink at the Libertyville Sports Complex. The Libertyville Village Board last week approved a bid from Gewalt Hamilton Associates Inc. of Ingleside for $374,000 to build the new lighted rink just west of the sport complex's softball field, according to the Daily Herald.
The new rink, which will be meant for inline skating and roller hockey during the warmer months and ice hockey in the winter, will serve as a replacement for the former rink at Bolander Park in Libertyville, the Daily Herald reports. The Bolander property was sold in 2015.
Construction is expected to start on the new rink on Aug. 1 and will take three months.
