Coroner IDs Couple Found Dead In Libertyville Hotel Room

The deaths of the Wauconda man and woman appear to be drug-related. Their infant was found in the same hotel room, police say.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — The Lake County Coroner's Office has identified a man and woman found dead inside a Libertyville hotel room as a Wauconda couple.

The Chicago Tribune is reporting the couple, Robert Callen, 35, and Amanda Dubin, 34, were found unresponsive in the room at the Motel 6 at about 11:08 a.m. Saturday. Their infant, who was alive and not harmed, was also found in the same room, authorities said.

Libertyville police say the deaths appear to be drug-related. The infant is now being cared for by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services.

Steve Newton, Lake County’s chief deputy coroner, told the Chicago Tribune the couple appears tohave more children. Additional details on the family were not immediately available.

The cause of the deaths remain under investigation.
