Coroner IDs Man Killed In North Chicago Stabbing
The stabbing happened early Sunday in the area of 10th Street and Adams Street in North Chicago.
NORTH CHICAGO, IL — The Lake County Coroner's Office has identified the man who died after a stabbing early Sunday in North Chicago as 34-year-old Irwin Gonzalez-Pena.
North Chicago police and the North Chicago Fire Department responded at about 12:20 a.m. Sunday to the area of 10th Street, just east of Adams Street, after receiving a report of a stabbing. Gonzalez-Pena, of North Chicago, was transported to Advocate Condell Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy conducted Monday determined Gonzalez-Pena died from a sharp force injury, according to the coroner's office.
