Coroner IDs Man Killed In Officer-Involved Shooting
The Saturday afternoon shooting occurred in Waukegan.
LAKE COUNTY, IL — The Lake County Coroner's Office has released the name of a 58-year-old Waukegan man killed in an officer-involved shooting Saturday afternoon.
Ricardo Delafuente died from multiple gunshot wounds, according to preliminary results from an autopsy from the coroner's office.
Meanwhile, the Illinois State Police Public Integrity Unit is heading an investigation into the officer-involved shooting, which occurred in the 100 block of Leith Avenue in Waukegan at about 3 p.m.

Waukegan Police Department officers were called to a home on Leith Avenue for a report of a man who'd attempted suicide.
Details surrounding how the shooting occurred have not been released. Delafuente was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the coroner's office.
