Coroner IDs Motorcyclist, 19, Killed In Hit-And-Run Collision

LAKE COUNTY, IL — The Lake County Coroner's Office has identified the 19-year-old motorcyclist killed in a hit-and-run collision Sunday morning as Adrian Rogel-Villanueva, of Waukegan.

Preliminary results from an autopsy show Rogel-Villanueva died from blunt force injuries as a result of a crash, according to a coroner's office news release. The collision happened at Green Bay Road and Sallmon Avenue in Beach Park at about 5:50 a.m. on Sunday.

Authorities found a Kawasaki sports bike with damage, which was consistent with it being struck by another vehicle. That vehicle fled the scene following the collision, authorities said.

Rogel-Villanueva was pronounced dead at the scene.
