David Adler Music and Arts Center Announce Registration for Summer Camps, Spring Classes

The young and young-at-heart will love the Adler Center's spring and summer music, art, and early childhood classes and camps

The David Adler Music and Arts Center announces open registration for our popular Camp Adler and Chamber Camp, as well as a creative array of art and music classes and early childhood classes that begin March 6th.

Summer Camps

Camp Adler: Camp Adler is the camp for youth (ages 5-11) to explore
music, drama, and art. Campers explore current interests and develop new
ones as they build their own schedule from a variety of exciting art,
music, and drama classes. Two sessions. Full-day and Half-day options
and Before/After care are available. Junior Tribe Leader applications

Chamber Music Camp: Work with professional musicians in this one-week
camp designed for young musicians (ages 7-15) who want to play as an
ensemble. Musicians are placed in chamber groups according to age and
ability. Receive individual instruction, daily performance
opportunities, and present an end-of-camp concert for families and
friends. One Session, August 7-11.

The David Adler Music and Arts Center’s Prelude Program introduces
very small musicians to rhythm, song, and musical play. These classes
are designed for ages 0 – 5 and a caregiver.

Prelude Program Level 1: Ages 0 – 3 and a caregiver will delight in
musical discovery through singing lullabies, chants, movement, and
rhythm games.

Prelude Program Level 2: Ages 3 – 5 and a caregiver will explore
pitch, rhythm, beats, and songs as they develop the life-long skills
they’ll need to study the instrument of their choosing.

New Spring Art Classes

A wide variety of art classes for children and adults are taught in
picturesque studios surrounding David Adler historic home. Classes begin
March 6 and run through April 20. Beginners are always welcome.

Youth: Imitate the Great Artists: Learn about great artists from long
ago while creating your own art in in the style of famous paintings. Go
‘behind the scenes’ as you learn the same techniques the great masters
used. Ages 5-13.

Youth: Abstract Art: Youth can create whimsical abstract paintings
using acrylic, water colors, and oil pastels. Explore a new media and
explore mood, emotion, and atmosphere. Ages 5-13.

Adult and Teen: Independent Study: Teens and adults can receive
personalized instruction on a project of their own choosing. Beginners
and advanced students are welcome. Come to class with an image or idea
and receive instruction and guidance as you complete your project. Ages
14 and up.

Adult and Teen: Still Life Drawing with Charcoal: Teens and adults
will work on large-format sketches and explore techniques for creating
still life and interior drawings. Beginner and Advanced students are
welcome. Ages 14 and up.

Adult and Teen: Intro to Watercolor & Drawing: Learn to draw with
pencil and ink. Then, add watercolor paint as you develop traditional
techniques for working with watercolors. Beginner and Advanced students
are welcome. Ages 14 and up.

Art and Wine Workshops: Follow along in this relaxing step-by-step
workshop as you receive art instruction and learn techniques to paint
your own acrylic painting. “Bring Your Own Bottle” to enjoy, listen to
music, and complete your own personal masterpiece.
