Autumn Pre-School, Youth, and Adult Art and Music Classes
Registration is now open for 2015-2016 individual music instruction in piano, voice, violin, viola, cello, guitar, mandolin, and ukulele. Individual music instruction beings August 24th. The David Adler Music and Arts Center also announces a creative array of group art and music classes that begin August 24th.
Parent-Tot Reggio: This musical class gives children and caregivers time to tell stories, play with puppets, and engage their senses through art, instruments, and playful movement. Grown-ups will be introduced to the Reggio philosophy of education and be given tools to support continued learning at home. Early childhood is the perfect time to introduce children to the world of music and to help them develop fundamental creative skills.
Youth Guitar I: Learn to read notes, chord charts, and basic rhythms in a fun and friendly environment. Play along to your favorite songs using simple strumming patterns. For children ages 8-12.

Youth Beginner Ukulele: Explore traditional Hawaiian songs and fun, familiar folk songs in this introduction to ukulele. Learn simple chords, notes, and rhythms in a supportive group suited to children ages 6-10.

Youth Abstract Painting: Explore abstraction through studies in mood, emotions, and atmosphere. Create your own abstract masterpieces while receiving instruction in a variety of media and techniques. Ages 5-12.
Youth Whimsical Watercolors: Use watercolor paints and pencils to design, sketch, and explore color-washing. Dive in the wacky world of watercolors and let the creativity flow. Ages 5-12.
Adult Landscape Painting: Explore seascapes, cityscapes, aerial and cloudscapes. Students will develop their painting and drawing skills while exploring a variety of new mediums. Ages 12+
Abstract Painting for Adults: Become more adept at interpreting and appreciating abstract art while studying the masters and creating beautiful works of your own. Ages 12+
Art and Wine Workshops: Follow along in this relaxing step-by-step workshop as you receive art instruction and learn techniques to paint your own acrylic painting. “Bring Your Own Bottle” to enjoy, listen to music, and complete your own personal masterpiece.
