'Destination Playground' Planned For Libertyville Park
A total of $2.5 million in improvements has been planned for Nicholas-Dowden Park.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL â More pickle ball courts, a "designation playground" and a linear skat park are among the improvements planned for Nicholas-Dowden Park in Libertyville next spring.
On Tuesday, the Libertyville Village Board approved two contracts totaling $353,323 for bidding and construction management services for the project, which will come to a total of $2.5 million in improvements, according to the Daily Herald.
The improvements, which also include a new basketball court, a vegetative/native garden swale and a walking loop trail, will be located on the northern part of Nicholas-Dowden Park.
