District 70 Schools to Host Kindergarten Orientations

All four Libertyville elementary schools will host orientations on April 17 for parents/guardians and their kindergarten students.

From Libertyville School District 70: The four elementary schools in Libertyville School District 70 will hold Kindergarten Orientations on April 17 for parents/guardians and their kindergarten students.

During the orientations, parents will be introduced to administrators and teachers, and be informed of what their children will need in order to begin school in the fall, as well as what to expect during the school year. An activity will be provided for the incoming kindergartners.

Preregistration is now open on the District 70 website at d70schools.org. Packets can be downloaded from the website under “New Student Registration,” picked up at the Educational Resource Center, 1381 W. Lake St., or can be mailed to the resident by calling the registrar at 847-362-9023.

After packet completion, parents/guardians are asked to make an appointment with registrar Stephanie Cox in order to review the packet, as well as present three proofs of residency. An official copy of a certified (raised seal) birth certificate also must be presented, as it will be copied by the registrar and returned.

Please register before the kindergarten orientation, as there will be time for questions and answers at the program.

Kindergarten Orientation will be held on April 17 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Adler Park School, 1740 N. Milwaukee Ave., at Butterfield School, 1441 W. Lake St., at Copeland Manor School, 801 S. Seventh Ave. and at Rockland School, 160 W. Rockland Road, Libertyville.
