Recently the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Division along with the United States Marshals Service Great Lakes Regional Task Force successfully apprehended Reginald J. Jackola, 21, of the 1500 Block of 2nd St in Winthrop Harbor. He was apprehended on the 38700 Block of N. Sheridan Rd in Beach Park.
On May 4, 2014 a warrant for Drug Induced Homicide and Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver was issued for Jackola’s arrest. Jackola is charged with delivering heroin to Matthew Townsend. Townsend inhaled a portion of that heroin into his body causing his death. Winthrop Harbor Police Department obtained the warrant for Jackola.
Jackola was also apprehended on two additional warrants for Battery and Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and Unlawful Possession of Controlled Substance.

Jackola’s bond is set at $500,000.00. He is scheduled to appear in court on July 9, 2014 at 1:30 pm.
Additionally, during a separate incident on June 10, 2014 the Lake County Sheriff’s Office Warrants Division along with the United States Marshals Service Great Lakes Regional Task Force successfully apprehended Laura R. Townsend, 18, of the 10700 Block of 17th St in Zion. She was apprehended in Waukegan.

On May 4, 2014 a warrant for Unlawful Delivery of Controlled Substance was issued for Laura R. Townsend’s arrest. Laura is the sister of Matthew Townsend and is charged with delivering less than 1 gram of heroin to Matthew Townsend. Winthrop Harbor Police Department obtained the warrant for Townsend.
Townsend’s bond was set at $100,000.00; she was transferred to another facility with a detainer hold placed on her. She is scheduled to appear in court on July 9, 2014 at 9:00 am.
