Since its founding 40 years ago, Alliance for the Great Lakes has worked to conserve and restore the world’s largest surface freshwater resource through policy, education and citizen involvement. Citizens’ Greener Evanston is an environmental organization that primarily focuses on strategies for reducing carbon emissions and increasing community sustainability. The mission of CONSEG is to encourage and support the establishment of citizen’s environmental groups in every community on Chicago’s North Shore to share best practices among the groups and to collaborate on addressing environmental challenges that cross village boundaries.
