Join film buffs Don and Melissa Henderson on Thursday, April 12 at 6:30 p.m. at the Cook Park Library to view and discuss Carnage, the 2011 comedy/drama written and directed by Roman Polanski and starring Kate Winslet, Jodie Foster, Christoph Waltz and John C. Reilly. After two boys duke it out on a playground, the parents of the "victim" invite the parents of the "bully" over to work out their issues. Jodie Foster plays Penelope, the passive-aggressive wife and mother. Her husband is played by John C. Reilly and he just wants to make nice. Their son was the victim. Kate Winslet's Nancy also just wants to make nice. Her husband is played by Christoph Waltz and he's the aggressive-aggressive one. Their son was the abuser. This biting comedy centered on differences - parental, political and societal, was nominated for two Golden Globe Awards. You may bring a snack and a covered drink. No registration required.
