Eviction Moratorium Over The Holidays In Lake County
Lake County Sheriff's Office officials say a temporary eviction moratorium will be enacted to keep families together over the holidays.

LAKE COUNTY, IL - An eviction moratorium will be in place throughout Lake County over the upcoming holiday weeks. Lake County Sheriff John Idleburg issued the moratorium notice this week, putting it into effect from Friday, Dec. 21, 2018 until Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019.
"The moratorium is only temporary and will allow families to remain together in their homes during the holiday season, which I believe is important,” Idleburg said in a statement.
The moratorium continues tradition in Lake County. Officials said that issuing a moratorium this time of year has been practice in the sheriff's office for at least a decade, this report from the Lake County News-Sun states.
