Farmers Market in Libertyville Opens Thursday for Summer Season
The ceremonial "watermelon cutting" will be held Thursday morning.

The Farmers Market in Libertyville will open Thursday, June 23, for the summer season.
The farmers market will run from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Thursday through Oct. 20 in Cook Park in downtown Libertyville.
Visitors can join city and farmers market officials for the annual opening day watermelon cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. Each week, rain or shine, vendors will feature fresh produce, fruits, pastries, artisanal breads, cheeses, plants, flowers, free range meats and eggs, kettle corn, pickles, olives, mushrooms, certified organic vegetables, local honey, sauces, goat milk soap, appetizers and even home made dog treats. Bring your knives to be sharpened on site.

Cook Memorial Library will host their popular children’s story hour during the summer. Balloon sculpting and juggling will be provided by R.C. Juggles.
