Fodrak's delivers on promise to roast a lamb in celebration of third Blackhawks Stanley Cup

Libertyville restaurant popular for its gyros raises the bar to an entire lamb.

Around 11:00 Sunday morning, June 28, a whole lamb was placed on a spit in front of Fodrak’s Gyros and Ribs in Libertyville and the charcoal was lit. Around 4:00 in the afternoon between 30 and 40 Hawks and Fodrak’s fans enjoyed the results in celebration of the Blackhawks third Stanley Cup.

When the team reached the 2013 finals, owner Jim Lappas said if they won he would roast a lamb in celebration. That worked out well. This year he repeated the offer. That worked, too.

Fodrak’s Award-winning Gyros, Succulent Baby Back Ribs, Greek Baked Chicken, Salads made 100% with Romaine Lettuce and other great choices have been helping customers eat well for over 27 years. The complete regular and catering menus are online at www.fodraks.com. Lunch and dinner are served at 327 South Milwaukee Avenue, Libertyville. Phone 847-816-8111 for carry-out.
