McHenry, IL – August 9th , 2021 – Home of the Sparrow would like to recognize the generosity of The Community Foundation for McHenry County for awarding us a grant to support our services. We could not do this without the support from our community, together we are making an impact on the lives of women and their families.

We are grateful to be a recipient of a $25,000 grant this year! These funds will be used to support our various housing and supportive services for women and children who are experiencing homelessness. Clients of Home of the Sparrow will be supported through services such as life skills and educational classes, employment program, housing programs, individualized case management, and so much more! This grant will positively impact the lives of those in need within McHenry County and Northern Illinois and help Home of the Sparrow further their mission of providing hope, opportunity, and support that empowers women and children as they journey from homelessness to self-sufficiency.
