Hawthorn Mall Welcomes New Clothing Store, Restaurant

VERNON HILLS, IL — Hawthorn Mall will soon welcome a women's clothing store and a new restaurant that serves up ultra-crispy Korean-style fried chicken.

CM Chicken and Daily Thread are expected to open soon at the mall, which is located at 122 Hawthorn Center. Meanwhile, FunFlatables recently made its debut at the mall.

The new CM Chicken, short for “Choong Man Chicken,” is scheduled to open the week of January 16 in a 1,759-square-foot space on the upper level of the center near AMC, according to a news release from Hawthorn Mall.

The new CM Chicken will offer ultra-crispy Korean-style fried chicken in a variety of flavors that include Tikku, original, seasoned, snow and green onion, as well as chicken burgers and nuggets and a number of other fried specialty and side dishes.

Also opening soon at Hawthorn Mall is a new 4,600-square-foot women's clothing store, Daily Thread. The retailer will open on the upper level near Center Park and will sell affordable women’s clothing and accessories from popular brand names, including Juicy Couture, 525, Tretorn and more.

Besides businesses that will be opening soon, Hawthorn Mall recently welcomed FunFlatables, an indoor, year-round play center, to its upper level near Macy's. The 7,245-square-foot entertainment venue has bouncers, obstacle courses, climbers and slides as well as arcade games for children of all ages, according to the news release.
