Hidden Gems Garden Walk, Libertyville, Illinois

Saturday, June 27, 2015

Town and Country Garden Club of Libertyville presents, Hidden Gems Garden Walk. The walk will take place June 27th from 10:00AM - 3:00PM rain or shine. This walk will feature six wonderful and unique gardens in our community. Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 the day of the walk. Tickets are available at the June 25th Libertyville Farmer’s Market, Libertyville Village Hall, as well as How Impressive! and Eclectic Design Source both on Milwaukee Ave. in downtown Libertyville.

Homes on the walk vary in size and theme but each is special in it’s own way. They are all unique and beautiful but most importantly interesting. There are gardeners that specialize in organic gardening, native plantings, formal and informal gardens as well as meditative paths. One home is the last parcel developed from the Quaker Oats experimental farm dating back to the 1940s. They continue to honor the farm’s traditions, including saving the only remaining chicken coop!

“This garden walk provides those with smaller lots to vast properties with inspiration and knowledge to enhance their own gardens. There’s something for everyone!” said Joyce Geib, past president of theTown and Country Garden Club.
