How To Choose the Right Woman

Dear Pastor Andy, I am Christian. I want you to give me tips on how to wait for the girl that God has ready for me, and how to choose the right woman?

My Reply: Don't look for her.  Seriously, don't look for her. Notice, when you do look for her, you never find her, but instead find others who you think at the time might be her, only to later be revealed as either just not, or far from "her", right?

I met the woman who would later be my wife when I wasn't looking for her. The Lord knows what you want and need, and has already picked her out for you. The hard part is waiting for Him to reveal her to you in His timing, not yours.

How awesome it is for God to reveal to you your future wife in the way that He did with Eve to Adam!

So continue to focus on your relationship with the Lord, keep Him in the center of everything in your life, and when He introduces you to the woman that He has set for you, she will respect the fact that the Lord is in the center of your life (maybe even be attracted to you for this fact), and encourage you keep it that way, even with her as your wife. Not many other women will do that...they all want to be first. But a real Christian woman, introduced to you by the Lord, will insist on being SECOND in your life. And THAT is how you will know that she is the right woman for you.
