Oak Brook-based Midwest Industrial Funds is hoping the village will accept its proposal.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Two industrial/warehouse buildings could be built on the former driving range at the Libertyville Sports Complex.
On Monday, the village's advisory plan commission voted 4-3 in favor of a proposal by Oak Brook-based Midwest Industrial Funds to erect two buildings, totaling 334,000-square-feet of space, at Route 45 and Peterson Road, according to the Daily Herald. The village board is next expected to discuss the proposal at an upcoming meeting.
Last summer, the village leased the indoor portion of the Liberttville Sports Complex, located on the east side of Route 45, to Canlan Sports with an option for them to buy. The former driving range, mini-golf course and golf learning center, located to the west of Route 45, closed and has been for sale for years.
