LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Dan and Kim Schlicksup of Gurnee were on a long drive home from Arizona when they came up with their first business venture.

The Joyful Gourmet, a home cooking store, is now on track to open Thanksgiving week in a space formerly occupied by a Starubucks in downtown Libertyville, according to the Daily Herald.

Dan, an engineer for Motorola, and Kim, a stay-at-home mom who formerly worked as an accountant, enjoy cooking at home together and the new store will sell quality pans, pots, bakeware and more and also offer cooking classes.
