The 1.1-mile trail would connect bike paths in Libertyville and Vernon Hills.
LIBERTYVILLE, IL — The Lake County Board is expected to vote on whether to approve funds for an extension that would connect trail systems in Libertyville and Vernon Hills, the Daily Herald is reporting.
The planned bike path on Butterfield Road would run 1.1 miles between Allanson Road/Gregg's Parkway in Vernon Hills north to Canterbury Park and Golf Road in Libertyville Township. The trail would connect the Libertyville Township Bike Path to Gregg's Landing bike paths in Vernon Hills.
The county board will consider an agreement with TranSystems Corporation of Schaumburg to design the project, which is expected to cost $643,993, according to the article.
