Lake Co. Sheriff To Receive Drum Major Award
The award will be bestowed to Sheriff John Idleburg during the Martin Luther King Day breakfast on Jan. 21 in Waukegan.

LAKE COUNTY, IL -- Lake County Sheriff John Idleburg will be honored during the Waukegan Township Martin Luther King Day breakfast on Jan. 21. Idleburg will receive the Tenth Conressional District Democrats Drum Major Award at the breakfast, which will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Lakehurst Banquets, 300 Lakehurst Road in Waukegan, according to a news release.
Every year at the annual breakfast, the “Drum Major Award" is presented to local pastors and community leaders for their integrity and contribution to the greater good, according to a news release. In 2017, founding chair of the Tenth Dems, former State Representative Lauren Beth Gash, received the Drum Major Award, according to the news release.
Tickets for the annual Martin Luther King Day breakfast are $30 and the reception runs from 9 to 9:45 a.m. The event is expected to sell out. Tickets can be purchased online or by calling 847-266-8683.
