Lake County Forest Preserve Hosts Volunteer Open House
The open house will be held on March 7.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL - From Lake County Forest Preserves: Are you seeking to expand your knowledge, meet new people and make a difference? The Lake County Forest Preserves has a variety of volunteer opportunities—both indoors and out—that can help you reach those goals.
Learn more at a Volunteer Open House, 5–7 pm, Wednesday, March 7, at the Lake County Forest Preserve General Offices, 1899 West Winchester Road, Libertyville. Meet with Forest Preserve staff and current volunteers who will explain the types of positions available both for individuals and groups.
No prior experience is required to volunteer, just a willingness to help. Training is provided for all positions. In 2017, Forest Preserve staff worked with 510 regularly contributing volunteers and countless more one-time volunteers. Combined, these volunteers donated a total of more than 30,000 hours of work valued at $860,000.
