Lake County Public Works will conduct its semi-annual water hydrant flushing program beginning July 6, weather permitting.

The anticipated completion date is July 31, 2020. During and immediately after flushing, you may notice a slight discoloration of your water due to the disturbance in the water main. This is not harmful and will dissipate after a short time. Please avoid doing laundry during periods of flushing in your area to prevent staining of clothing. After flushing, we recommend running cold water for several minutes to clear your pipes.

Signs will be posted in each area before the start of hydrant flushing. Please contact the Public Works office at 847-377-7500 if you have any questions or concerns.
