Large Amount Of Mushrooms, Codeine, Cash Seized From Libertyville Apartment

LIBERTYVILLE, IL -- A Libertyville man is being held on a $1 million bond after authorities seized a large amount of psilocybin mushrooms, marijuana, codeine and cash during a search of his apartment in recent weeks, police said. Patrick Stuart Skinner, 23, of 350 Brainerd Ave. Apt. 6A in Libertyville, has been charged with several various drug-related offenses, including two Class X felonies, following his Aug. 15 arrest.

The Lake County Metropolitan Enforcement Group lead a narcotics investigation that resulted in a Aug. 15 search of Skinner's apartment, according to a news release from the Libertyville Police Department. During the search, authorities found 1,000 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 700 grams of cannabis, 1,600 grams of codeine, 3.5 ‘hits’ of LSD, $91,422 in cash and drug paraphernalia, police said.

Stuart was taken to the Lake County Jail where he remains held on a $1 million bond Thursday morning.
