Learn Laws That Protect Animals

Animal lovers are encouraged to attend this one-night seminar all about the laws in the state of Illinois that protect animals. The seminar, taught by Sandy Kamen Wisniewski, Animal Education and Rescue director and lead humane investigator says, “It is likely in your lifetime you will see or hear about something that concerns you. It may be that you see a dog tied to a tree and it’s 90 degrees outside or your friend tells you about a neighbor’s dog that is very skinny. It will be something and you’ll want to know how you can help.”
The class will go over the state laws that protect animals and will cover more extensively the laws that most often are broken. Wisniewski will also discuss Lake County animal-related cases that occurred and what happened to the people and the animals in those cases.
The class will take place on Wednesday May 14 from 7-9 p.m. at Shear Paradise 400 N. Seymour Avenue in Mundelein. The class is $20.00 per person. To RSVP call Animal Education and Rescue at 847-816-0831 or e-mail them at info@aear.org.
Animal Education and Rescue is an Illinois non-profit humane society. It’s mission is to bring people and animals together through education, therapy and rescue. (Photo of an actual case of AEAR. Felix, dog in photo, nearly starved to death.)
