Libertyville Calls Off Fourth Of July Fireworks

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Libertyville has joined a growing number of suburban towns that have called of its Fourth of July fireworks. The fireworks show is typically held on July 4 at Butler Lake, Heather Rowe, economic development coordinator for the village of Libertyville, told Patch in an e-mail response.

Towns throughout Lake County and the Chicago area will not be hosting fireworks shows amid continued concerns over the coronavirus pandemic and the need for social distancing. The fireworks show is sponsored by the village of Libertyville and Libertyville Mile of Cars.
