Libertyville Farmers Market Opens Thursday For Summer Season

The traditional cutting of the watermelon by Libertyville's mayor will be held at 9 a.m.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — The Libertyville Farmers Market will open for the summer season this Saturday.

The farmers market will kick off at 9 a.m. with an annual tradition: the cutting of a watermelon by Libertyville's mayor, which will be held at 413 N. Milwaukee Avenue.

The farmers market will run until 1 p.m. this Thursday. The farmers market will be held every subsequent Thursday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Oct. 20.
