Libertyville High Grad Receives National Merit Scholarship

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A Libertyville High School graduate has been selected as a National Merit Scholarship winner. Emmelea Schatz of Green Oaks is among 650 additional National Merit Scholarship winners recently selected to receive college-sponsored awards.

Schatz was selected to receive a National Merit W. Harold Otto Scholarship from the University of Kansas. The recently picked National Merit designees join more than 3,300 other college-sponsored award recipients who were announced in June.
