The Libertyville Junior Woman's Club announces the 2015 Margaret Chickey Outstanding Female Student Scholarship recipient!

The Libertyville Junior Woman’s Club (LJWC) is proud to announce that the Margaret Chickey Outstanding Female Student Scholarship Recipient for 2015 was presented by Club Member Janet Chickey and awarded to Gena Palmieri at our annual June Awards and Installation Dinner at the bucolic Ivanhoe Country Club on June 2nd, 2015!

The LJWC Scholarship committee had some very special students and as always it is a tough decision when it comes to choosing. Gena Palmieri, an 18 year old Libertyville High School Senior (Class of 2015), definitely stood out as a leader and a great example of what philanthropy means by implementing and developing her own charity called ‘The Beauty Pack’ for use in area shelters. The Beauty Pack is a non-profit organization created to help women in need get the supplies they need to feel healthy, clean, confident, & beautiful.

Congratulations to Gena who heads off to Indiana University in the fall!
