Libertyville Man's Scratch-Off Ticket Wins Him $600K
Paul Veselack was a $1M winner, but he opted for the one-time payment of $600,000.

A Libertyville man was in his kitchen when he found out he was a whole lot richer.
That’s where Paul Veselack, 53, was when he scratched off his $300,000,000 Cash Spectacular ticket and found out he was $1 million winner, according to an Illinois Lottery press release. Veselack, however, decided to take the prize in a one-time payment of $600,000.
Veselack, a healthcare inudstry worker who is married with two kids, bought his ticket at 7-Eleven, 645 N. State St., Chicago. The business receives $10,000 for selling the winning ticket.

Veselack says he wants to use his winnings for his kids’ education and his retirement.
