LAKE COUNTY, IL — A Libertyville Police Department officer faces domestic battery charges for allegations he wouldn't let a 34-year-old woman leave a Grayslake-area home with her young daughter and caused her to cut her finger.
The Lake County Sheriff's Office was called to investigate a domestic dispute at a home in the 34300 block of North Tangueray Drive in unincorporated Grayslake at about 4:15 p.m. on March 11, Christopher Covelli, deputy chief with the Lake County Sheriff's Office, told Patch in an email response.
David A. Kochenash is accused of not letting the woman leave the home and blocked her path down a set of stairs as she attempted to go, Covelli said. She tried to record him using her cellphone camera.
