Libertyville Restaurant With Beach, Nautical Theme Opens

Harbor House Tap + Grill has opened at 1762 N. Milwaukee Avenue.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A new restaurant with a beach and nautical theme has opened in Libertyville.

Harbor Kitchen + Tap, located in the former Cafe Pyrenes French restaurant on Milwaukee Avenue,is the brainchild of Four Napkin Hospitality Group, according to the Daily Herald. The groups' other brands include Pour House Kitchen and Tap House Grill.

The Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon cutting at 3 p.m. on Thursday at the restaurant, which is located at 1762 N. Milwaukee Avenue, followed by open house from 4 to 6 p.m. There will be a complimentary buffet, champagne toast, raffles and more, according to a post on the GLMV Chamber's Facebook page. Those wishing to attend are encouraged to RSVP.

The menu includes breakfast, lunch and dinner items, with the restaurant serving up a lobster roll sandwich, tuna poke bowl, grilled mahi sandwich, and a Harbor burger, which is topped with mozzarella, pineapples, ginger soy glaze, and a marinated red onion.
