Longtime Libertyville Coffee Shop Closes After 13 Years
Hansa Coffee Roasters has left its downtown location but its owner says the business hopes to find a new home in Libertyville.
LIBERTYVILLE, IL — Hansa Coffee Roasters has closed its longtime Libertyville café after 13 years after its lease was not renewed.
About 100 customers gathered Sunday evening for a final cup and to share memories before the downtown shop, located across from the Metra station, was cleared out Monday. Owner Kevin Kane said Hansa intends to remain in Libertyville and is searching for a new location, although no deal has been finalized, the Daily Herald is reporting.
The company has already moved its roasting operation, while its Lake Bluff café and online business remain open, according to the article.
