Man Accused of Stealing Tires From Libertyville Business

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A 57-year-old man was arrested for stealing tires from a business in town earlier this month, authorities said. Jose Perez-Arreola, of Kenosha, Wisconsin, is accused of driving his vehicle into a rear lot at a business in the 1000 block of East Park Avenue, get out and take tires from a junk lot, according to a Libertyville Police Department report.

He proceeded to put the tires in his vehicle, police said. The vehicle then drove to the rear service department entrance and Perez-Arreola then allegedly took three brand new tires from the business — again placing the tires in his vehicle.

Authorities used video surveillance footage to aid them in their investigation, according to the police report. Perez-Arreola was arrested on Aug. 14and released on a personal recognizance bond.

He is next expected in court on Sept. 11.
