Man Arrested For Car Burglaries

A Gurnee man arrested in connection to a similar crime in Gurnee has been linked to vehicle burglaries in Libertyville, police said.

LIBERTYVILLE, IL — A 23-year-old who police linked to vehicle burglaries in Gurnee now faces additional charges for burglarizing cars in Libertyville, authorities said. Joseph Vasquez, of the 3400 block of Kenwood Avenue in Gurnee, was arrested earlier this month for trying to break into a vehicle in Gurnee.

When Gurnee police took Vasquez into custody, they found items that taken during the vehicle burglaries in Libertyville, according to a report from the Libertyville Police Department.

Vasquez was charged with two counts of burglary to a motor vehicle in connection with the Libertyville crimes, police said. His bail has been set at $25,000.
